Zoosk Partners with SheerID to Verify Military Users

Zoosk has always been at the leading edge when it comes to fighting scammers on it's dating site. In 2014 Zoosk was the first online dating service that implemented a photo verification option. With this option, users can submit a selfie video, and moderators of the site compare this to profile pictures. If verified, the user has a green "photo verified" check mark applied to their profiles.

Zoosk is now taking another first step to combat the rise of military scammers on their site. They have partnered with SheerID (a reputable verification company) to create their Insignia program. Through the Insignia Verification, military members are checked and verified and by doing so, receive 20% off site fees. If a member's military status has been verified, it will show on the users profile.

Of course, just like their "photo verification" program, the Insignia Military Verification is optional.
